After the success of our Adele 1988 project, the good folks at Sony and I decided to come together once again and do a project remixing one of my favorite groups, Swedish rockers Peter, Bjorn and John. If you’re not familiar with them, hopefully this project changes that!
Yes! The new issue of Vice is out and it’s The 2009 Photo Issue. Hopefully I can pick one up at my corner store American Apparel before all the hipsters get their greasy paws on them. Looks like another cover done by the well known pervert Terry Richardson. Vice rocks!

The exhibit opens August 4th, if your in the Bay Area please go check out Page’s work.
We’re big fans of both these guys. I think Ryan has a great sound that really compliments Ross’ style. This collaboration happened too late for the song to appear on Deeper Than Rap, look out for “Maybachs + Diamonds” on a future album from either Leslie or Ross.

Since 1991’s Grand Upright Music Ltd. vs. Warner Bros. case (a.k.a. Biz Markie vs. Gilbert O’Sullivan), most non-Puff Daddy producers have been wary of sampling well-known source material. Because of inherently prohibitive clearance costs, a litigious industry climate and the obvious notoriety of his catalog, the Michael Jackson songbook has been raided less than those of many of his peers.

In late 2007, I got a chance to check out Adam Freeland’s newest project, Freeland, as it was coming together. He was still recording a majority of the tracks and had yet to mix and master them. He was most proud of this sort of “interlude” track he had recorded with Tommy Lee on drums, which he hadn’t shared the name for yet.
