The name Phenology comes from the science dealing with natural biological phenomena in relation to climate. So I related it to fashion with the way climate dictates what you wear, with our clothes playing the part of the phenomena.
2) What do you bring that no one else does?
I think Phenology brings to the table one of the most created ways to depict struggle. My artwork is subliminal. Usually dressed up as society does to hide the truth behind things such as corporate corruption, drugs, and the black market.
3) How have sales been so far?
Since starting in 2003, sales have grown slowly and steadily. We have done wholesale but more recently have focused on retail through our online shop, www.phnlgy.com. The money is nice but the passion and ability to be an entrepreneur is always better.
4) Designers who inspire you…
I have been inspired by so many designers over the years whether through their design or the way they handle business. Karl Kani, Daymond John, Ralph Lauren, Dennis Calvero and Emil Soriano.
